Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We talked to him about his role in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) team and the methods which he makes a difference at Realtor.com. Here's what he said: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own 9 backend search services that are core to the company's success. One of the most crucial is the Search API, which powers results on the Search engine result page. Our tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work closely with the Machine Learning group to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search relevance improvements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly group that prioritizes strong onboarding and constant support. New staff member are assisted through the ramp-up procedure till they're confident taking complete ownership of their work. Each staff member is useful to other group members when facing obstacles. We value a culture where wins are celebrated openly, and problems are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person get-togethers, to keep sociability strong. Q. What's your biggest accomplishment so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most happy with the professional growth I've achieved considering that joining Realtor.com as a Software Engineer over 7.5 years ago. Throughout this journey, I have actually established deep domain know-how, stayed updated with progressing market practices, and regularly worked with modern-day technologies. My commitment to constant learning and effect resulted in my promo to Staff Software Engineer and my role as one of the team's technical leads. Most recently, I have actually handled the duty of being individuals Leader for the team-an exciting next step that permits me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical instructions. I take pride in the fact that my long period here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to develop technically and handle higher leadership Q. What should someone wanting to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com offers amazing technical difficulties, from massive information managing to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML combination.
